Nature Walks for Mental Health

For:

Tuesday, February 06, 2024
3:00 pm - 3:45 pm
Environmental Interpretive Center, Main Lobby (map)

These 45-minute guided nature walks are held bimonthly at the Environmental Interpretive

Center (EIC). These walks are great opportunities to meet new people, escape stress, and improve environmental wellness.

Each stroll is led by EIC Naturalist and Program Coordinator Alexis Kott, who will point out and explain any interesting wildlife and natural phenomena that we come across along the way. In addition to this, a Mental Health and Wellness Peer Educator from Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) will also attend each session to host brief guided meditations and mental health check-ins.

These walks are open to students, staff, faculty, and community members. Attendees will be entered into a swag raffle for every walk that they complete during the Winter semester, and will have the opportunity to win prizes like bottles of EIC maple syrup, high quality mugs, water bottles, tote bags, candles, and so much more during the final walk & celebration!Mental Health Walks 2/6, 2/20,3/5, 3/19,4/2 from 3-3:45
