Water, Words, & Justice: Exploring the Flint Water Crisis Through Storytelling

Playwright Josh Wilder speaks on the importance of community engaged storytelling in prompting environmental justice in the lens of this latest project Wrong River. Centering the people most impacted, Wrong River recounts the Flint Water Crisis and its ties to environmental racism that have altered the lives of those in the community for the last decade. Wilder will share his research-based creative process and how he hopes sharing this story will make a difference. All participants will have the chance to ask questions and engage with Josh during this hour and a half long event held in person at Fairlane South, Dining Room D as well as virtually. This event will be followed by a free pizza luncheon in Michigan Room East from 12:30-2. Though you are encouraged to participate in both segments of this event, you are not required to be able to do both to register. We understand that students are busy!
