Biography and Education

Julie Taylor earned her PhD degree in history from the University of Cambridge. As a professor at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, Dr. Taylor conducts research on history education, intercultural education, and arts integration.  At a public secondary school in Detroit, she led enrichment programming in history, art, and culture for over eight years.  Her students explored emerging technologies.  Dr. Taylor serves on the editorial boards of national and international journals. A recipient of the university’s Distinguished Teaching Award, Dr. Taylor offers courses in the Department of Education and the Honors Program in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters. She serves on the editorial boards of national and international journals.
