SUBJECT: 2024/2025 Provost Fellow Announcement
May 20, 2024 at 1:00 PM
Dear campus community,
It is an honor and pleasure to announce that Carmel Price, Associate Professor of Sociology in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters, has been named the Provost Fellow for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Dr. Price has engaged in countless efforts during her career, serving on the Detroit Advisory Group, Inclusive History Project Advisory Committee, Faculty Research Council, the EIC Faculty Advisory Board, the Dearborn Green Schools Coalition, and the Air Quality Sensor Learning Collaborative, to name a few. Dr. Price has co-founded two interdisciplinary research teams at the University of Michigan-Dearborn: the College and University Pantries (CUP) research team and the Environmental Health Research-to-Action (EHRA) project. She is interested in exploring the implementation of a training program for faculty mentors, and utilizing online programs to better support marginalized students. Given her plethora of experience, it is no surprise that Dr. Price was named Provost Fellow.
The members of the Provost Team and I are excited to see what is in store for our collaboration this upcoming year.
Please join me in congratulating Carmel on her new role in the Provost Office!
Sincerely,
Gabriella
