SUBJECT: Exciting New Initiative from the Provost's Office Team

March 1, 2022 at 4:46 PM

I am very excited to announce a partnership between myself and Valeria Bertacco, Vice Provost for Engaged Learning at UM-AA, on a new grant program dedicated to supporting small groups of U-M faculty and staff members (with a faculty lead) in organizing a workshop, speaker series, or similar event centered on a topic relevant to Detroit communities. My office will support up to two proposals in the amount of $15K each with the goal of fostering more connections and collaborations among the hundreds of Detroit projects and initiatives we engage with on our campus.

Proposals should be submitted by a faculty lead organizer, affiliated with an academic unit in the Ann Arbor or Dearborn campuses. Go to the Engaged Michigan website to learn more and to apply!

Tracy Hall ([email protected]), OMI Director, is providing individualized support to faculty teams interested in applying. Please reach out to her if you need any assistance in putting together a proposal or have any questions.

With all best wishes,

Gabriella
