SUBJECT: Faculty Media Trainings Oct. 29 and Nov. 13
September 30, 2024 at 10:30 AM
Dear Colleagues,
The Office of the Provost and the Office of External Relations are pleased to be hosting two Faculty Media Trainings this fall. These trainings are designed to help faculty prepare for and feel confident conducting print and broadcast interviews. They will be led by Fernanda Pires and Morgan Sherburne of Michigan News at UM-Ann Arbor, along with Kristin Palm, UM-Dearborn’s Director of Communications.
Sessions will be small, with ample time for questions and individual attention. Any faculty member who interacts with the media currently or is planning to interact with media in the future is highly encouraged to attend this training. If you have attended before and would like a refresher, you are welcome.
The October 29 session will be tailored to faculty in CEHHS, COB, social and behavioral sciences and the humanities. The November 13 session will be tailored to faculty in CECS and the physical sciences. However, you may attend the session that best fits your schedule.
These are in-person trainings and they will not be recorded. Seating is limited, so we encourage you to register early.
