Recommended Training to Prevent Retaliation (December 5, 2022)

Dear Colleagues,

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing a safe and welcoming campus, the university has developed a training module for preventing retaliation and protecting those who report improper behavior. “Building a Culture That Thrives: Preventing Retaliation” is a highly recommended online course for all faculty and staff.

This training will provide you with information and resources for support if you need to speak up.

This online module will help you:

  • Discover what retaliation looks like and how to prevent it.
  • Learn about the new policy to protect you from retaliation.
  • Identify where to go to ask confidential questions about taking action, and explore where to report if you decide to do so.

Participation in this training is highly recommended for all faculty and staff members. President Ono is sending similar messages to student employees, temporary staff, bargained-for staff, and graduate student employees on the Ann Arbor campus and Michigan Medicine, notifying them of this important resource.  The module will take approximately 25 minutes to complete.
