The Science Learning Center is here to help all students succeed in science courses and laboratories.

We are here to help you:

  • Learn essential mathematical, graphing and laboratory skills before you need them in class. This ensures that all science students have the same opportunity for success in science courses regardless of educational background.
  • Practice using laboratory instruments at your own pace before you use them in the lab. This allows you to spend laboratory time efficiently, and ensures that you can safely work with sensitive and expensive equipment.

How to Reach Us

During the Fall 2021 semester we’ll be conducting university business in-person and virtually. Our contact information and location are below.

  • In-person appointments (NSBS 1143) are typically available Tuesday - Thursday 10 AM - 5 PM, while classes are in session.
  • Remote appointments (Zoom) are typically available Monday - Thursday 10 AM - 5 PM, while classes are in session.

If you are interested in scheduling an appointment outside these hours, please contact us at slc.scheduling@gmail.com

The SLC is closed for the Labor Day and Thanksgiving holidays.

Please note: Modules cannot be completed after the last day of classes.

Before scheduling an appointment

Check CANVAS or our list of modules assigned for your courses. Start early! We have a limited number of appointments available on the due dates.

Review the modules online before meeting with a Science Learning Center assistant. If you have questions or would like help with any module topic, feel free to schedule an appointment to chat with an SLC assistant about the module. We are here to help you!

Setting up an in-person appointment

  • Select your preferred time slot
  • Description: Please list the module you are scheduling for (e.g. A2 Intro to Graphing), or other reason for the meeting (e.g. help with algebra module).

If you have any questions, please contact us at slc.scheduling@gmail.com.

Please note: For each of the following module post-tests, please schedule two back-to-back in-person appointments, since they typically take longer than 30 minutes:
