The interdisciplinary minor or integrative studies concentration in film studies takes a cross-cultural approach to the study and analysis of cinema.
The program consists of a prerequisite course in storytelling, a required course in film history, and two upper-level courses you choose from nine options. The electives explore topics like Black cinema; gender, sexuality, and power in American film; reviewing movies, games, and television; genres and directors; and multimedia and music, among others.
