Documents Required for Admission

Must be submitted in original language and accompanied by a word-for-word English translation.

If you are still attending secondary school:

  • Official copy of Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE), Council for Indian School Certificate (CISCE), or other examining board test results from grades X. If issued in a language other than English, it must be accompanied by a certified word-for-word English translation. 
  • Official copy of grade 11 mark sheets. If issued in a language other than English, it must be accompanied by a certified word-for-word English translation.

If you have completed secondary school:

  • Official copy of Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE), Council for Indian School Certificate (CISCE), or other examining board test results from grades X and XII. If issued in a language other than English, it must be accompanied by a certified word-for-word English translation.
  • Official copy of: Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC). If issued in a language other than English, it must be accompanied by a certified word-for-word English translation.

All required foreign credential transcripts & exam results can be submitted either as official original or certified true (attested) copies to the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Documents sent to from ​the applicant will not be considered official.

Additional Requirements:

  • SAT or ACT Score
  • English Language Proficiency Exam Score (IELTS, MELAB, or TOEFL)

If you are still attending secondary school:*

  • Examination results for the Standard (X) exam and transcripts from each institution must be submitted. If issued in a language other than English, it must be accompanied by a certified word-for-word English translation.

If you have completed secondary school:

  • Examination results for the Standard (X) exam and all other transcripts/exam results for each institution attended. If issued in a language other than English, it must be accompanied by a certified word-for-word English translation.
  • IB exam results or AS/A level exam results. If issued in a language other than English, it must be accompanied by a certified word-for-word English translation.

* An attested copy Standard XII is required as soon as it becomes available and students will not be able to register for the next term without its submission.
