Mission Statement

In keeping with the UM-Dearborn Campus and the Facilities Operations Mission Statement, Maintenance Services, will use our knowledge, experience, and skills to ensure university facilities and equipment are safe, functional, and available for staff, students, faculty, and guests.

Work and Responsibilities

Maintenance services ensures that university facilities and equipment are safe and functional. Our maintenance team members perform various repair work such as: light replacement, door and lock repair, minor repairs to furniture, structural damage repair, roof leaks, among other tasks. Maintenance team members also conduct scheduled preventative maintenance work on equipment across campus. The maintenance team also collaborates with different units such as third-party contractors on larger repair projects; facilities planning with furniture moves, relocations, and disposal; and university events with event set ups.
