Health and Wellness
We are committed to creating an environment that helps you be your best.
We know that success involves more than what happens in the classroom. At UM-Dearborn, we are committed to your entire well being. Students have free access to the Wellness Center and other gym and ice facilities. Our Counseling and Psychological Services provide comprehensive mental health support. We offer nutritious food and beverage options across campus. Walking paths and natural areas shape our campus, which has been smoke-free since 2011.
Get Active
The Wellness Center, located inside the Fieldhouse, is open to all current students, faculty and staff. It features cardio equipment, free weights, weight machines, men’s and women’s locker rooms, two racquetball courts and a dance studio that holds various fitness classes.
Find Support
Healthy living means physical, mental and emotional well-being. We provide a range of services to ensure that all students receive the support they need to thrive on and off campus.
Dearborn Support advocates for students navigating difficult life events. The program operates the Student Food Pantry, which provides temporary food assistance to students in need, as well as offers computer and device rentals, sanitary supplies and more.
Registered UM-Dearborn students are eligible for personal counseling at no charge. Counseling is available to faculty and staff through the Faculty and Staff Counseling and Consultation Office (FASCCO).
Disability and Accessibility Services (DAS) are available to help students with disabilities participate in every part of mainstream college life.
The University of Michigan has a Domestic Student Health Insurance Program (DSHIP).
