There is an increasing demand for both the BS in Computer and Information Science (BS-CIS) and the BS in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance (BS-CIA). This CIS and CIA dual degree program enables students to earn two degrees, i.e., BS-CIS and BS-CIA, at the same time.
A student in the CIS and CIA dual degree program must enter the Information Systems (INSY) concentration of the BS-CIS and the Cybersecurity & Privacy (CP) or Digital Forensics (DFOR) concentration of the BS-CIA. The program requires a minimum of 18 credit hours of additional coursework beyond the 120 credits required for the BS-CIS alone (i.e., a minimum of 15 credit hours of additional coursework beyond the 123 credits required for the BS-CIA alone).
Please note that beginning in Fall 2015, all freshmen must follow the Dearborn Discovery Core (DDC) requirements.
