Learn How to Protect the Power Grid
One of the most critical issues facing our nation is protecting the electrical grid and major electricity users from cyberattacks. This graduate certificate program at the University of Michigan-Dearborn focuses on protecting electrical systems from faults, communication models for monitoring and controlling electrical systems, and cybersecurity for the smart grid. The program provides an excellent opportunity for young professionals who want to enhance their skills, as well as for experienced professionals who want to change careers.
You can take all courses for the nine-credit certificate in person, online, or a combination of both. We schedule them in the late afternoon and evening so they’re convenient for part-time students who work. You can apply credits earned for the certificate toward graduate degrees offered by UM-Dearborn’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
