As part of the UM-Dearborn Community, the Student Food Pantry exists to support students on their journey as they work toward achieving their goals. We are committed to increasing access to food as a key to success, by providing assistance to any student in need. Individuals must be a currently enrolled UM-Dearborn student with picture ID. The UM-Dearborn Student Food Pantry is located in room 2130 in the University Center. Students are welcome to shop twice per month, and everything is FREE!
In order to expand the types of support students can choose from, we partner with service providers in our local communities. Whether we make referrals or invite providers to campus, we establish a wider network every day. Most often, Dearborn Support hosts providers on campus and host group, informational sessions or private, one-on-one appointments with students. Recordings of group informational sessions will be posted here. These kinds of providers range from STI testing, health insurance enrollment, and food access resources, just to name a few.

Other Services & Resources
The Student Food Pantry has food as well as home and personal hygiene items available for FREE! UM-Dearborn students must be currently registered to use the pantry, and can visit up to twice per month.
In an effort to help students in the event of an emergency where a laptop needs to be unexpectedly replaced and to allow students up to a semester to save funds to replace their computer, we offer short- and long-term device rentals - loaner laptops. Students can only rent a device for a single semester per Academic Year.
If you have experienced an unexpected incident that has made your computer unusable and are interested in renting a device FOR FREE, please fill out the Device Rental Request Application to be considered. The more detail you provide on your application, the better.
If you have already applied, please DO NOT submit another one. We are reviewing applications as quickly as possible.
While you wait for your application to be reviewed, check in with the Mardigian Library about their device rentals. There is also free computer access at our library or in any open computer labs.
Due to demand, in most cases we are unable to provide a rental device to students whose computer is unable to run required course software or for students who have not yet purchased a computer of their own. Instead, we encourage you to explore the student deals available through the UMich Tech Shop.
These supplies can include, but are not limited to, condoms, lubricants, at-home testing kits, informational pamphlets, and more. We have latex-free products, too!
We are thrilled to partner with Corktown Health to offer FREE menstrual products including a variety of tampons and pads.
Dearborn Support has a variety of informational pamphlets and flyers available to students for free. Here are some of the subjects our paper materials cover:
- Common University Acronyms
- Campus Resource Guide
- Campus Map
- Food Assistance Resources,
- Sexual Health
- Resources for Sexual Assault, Intimate Partner Violence, and Stalking
- Monkeypox Vaccine Locator
- Suicide Prevention Hotline
- And much more!
