Add and Drop Courses
Students may add and drop courses during regular registration through the first two weeks of a full-term, first week of a half-term or four week mini-term or before the second class meeting of a less than one-month mini-term.
Any exceptions for adding courses must be approved by the student’s academic college.
After the Add/Drop period, students may selectively drop individual courses during the third through ninth week of classes in a full term, during the second through fourth week of classes in a half-term or mini-term and before the third class meeting in a less than one-month mini-term. A mark of “W” will appear on the transcript. Please refer to the Deadline to Dropping a Course section below for further details.

Important:
Students are NOT automatically dropped from registered courses for non-payment. Make sure you are aware of the registration deadlines each term or you could be liable for all tuition, fees, and penalties.
Deadlines to Dropping a Course
Dropping a Course with No Penalty: Students may drop/add courses during the first two weeks of a full term, or the first week of a half term or mini-term and applicable charges will be removed.
Dropping a Course with Penalty: Students may selectively drop individual courses up to the first two weeks of a full-term (first week of a half-term or four week mini-term or before second class meeting of a less than one-month mini-term). There is no reduction in tuition and fees for selectively dropped individual courses and a “W” will be recorded on the academic record for the course(s). Any exception for dropping courses after the selective drop deadline date must be approved by petition to the college in which the student is enrolled.
NOTE: A student who wishes to drop all courses should refer to instructions for Withdrawing from Term.
