How to Join
- Select the fund(s) you wish to support.
- Specify the amount of your recurring gift.
- Contact our Gifts and Records office to set up a credit card payment or set up monthly payroll deduction if you are a university employee.

What is the monthly gift matching program?
Monthly gifts are deeply important to the current and future health of the university. Recognizing this, all new monthly gifts made from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027, will be matched up to $100 for 12 months.
- The first 12 monthly payments of every new monthly recurring gift made to anywhere at the university will be matched.
- In addition, all University of Michigan employee gifts made via payroll deduction will be matched from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027.
What is matched?
As long as they meet the matching gift program criteria, gifts to any fund at UM-Dearborn will be matched.
Gifts made to an endowed fund will be matched to the most similar current-use fund.
How much of my gift will be matched?
Each month, the first $100 of eligible recurring gifts will be matched one-to-one.
When do I need to make my gift?
Credit card gifts initiated from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027, are eligible to have their first 12 payments matched.
Eligible gifts made via payroll deduction July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027, will be matched.
When will my gift be matched?
The match is applied the month following each gift installment.
Are Michigan employees eligible?
Yes, all current University of Michigan employees are eligible.
Can I make my gift through payroll deduction?
Absolutely. Please note, pledge payments made via payroll deduction cannot be matched.
How will I know if my gift has been matched?
New match recipients will receive an email confirming they have qualified for a matching gift.
If my gift is eligible for multiple matches, can it be matched more than once?
No, each gift will be matched a maximum of one time.
