Students at UM-Dearborn are eligible for the Go Blue Guarantee - University of Michigan’s landmark promise of free tuition for high-achieving in-state undergraduate students from qualifying backgrounds. Eligibility includes:

  • Full-time, in-state undergraduate student
  • Family income $125,000 or less
  • Assets below $125,000
  • Incoming 3.5 GPA

Additional Free Tuition Programs

Some students may qualify for programs that cover the full cost of in-state tuition. Eligibility depends on meeting specific academic, financial, and/or other requirements.

Disclaimer: 

  • Scholarships are initially awarded by GPA at the time of admission. Final official transcripts that affect scholarship eligibility must be received by the end of the UM-Dearborn drop/add period for the student's first semester of enrollment.
  • Students are automatically considered for awards during the admission process, with no need for a separate application.
  • Must be classified as in-state resident, defined by the Board of Regents of the University of Michigan, to be eligible.  Changes in residency may result in changes in award eligibility.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Scholarship

Eligibility: Incoming transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK)
Award Amount: $1,000 annually, renewable for up to three years
To Qualify: Provide proof of PTK membership prior to the start of your first semester
