Important Information:
- Students are not eligible for these scholarships if tuition and fees are covered in full by other funds.
- Enrollment in 12 credits or more is required for disbursement each term.

- No separate application is required. Students are automatically considered for awards.
- Students must be classified as in-state residents.
- Final official transcripts that affect scholarship eligibility must be received by the end of the UM-Dearborn drop/add period for the student's first semester of enrollment.
- Students who previously attended UM-Dearborn are considered "re-admits," not transfer students, and therefore are not eligible for the Destination Maize, Destination Blue, and Destination Wolverine Scholarships. Scholarship funds for Summer admits are available for Fall and Winter terms.
- Second-degree admitted students are not eligible for these funds.
- Only courses required for a student’s degree program count toward enrollment hours.

Non-Resident Student Scholarships
The university offers scholarships to recognize scholastic achievement

- Basic eligibility: Qualified students who have had at least a 48 month interruption in their education and are now enrolled in a degree program
- Award amount: Over 60 scholarships are awarded annually ranging from $1,000 to $11,000

- Basic eligibility: Awarded to students who successfully complete the City Year Detroit experience.
- Award amount: Up to $5,350 and is matched with AmeriCorps funds. The award is for up to two years (four semesters)

- Basic eligibility: CECS is able to offer many privately funded scholarships based on merit and a students' academic major. Many of these scholarships may be offered in conjunction with other awards.

- Basic eligibility: Degree-seeking students who are public safety employees at partnering organizations
- Award amount: 20% of tuition and fees

- Basic eligibility: Provides scholarship support for tuition only to the IRS-dependent children, spouses, other qualified adults (OQA) and IRS-dependent of OQA of regular part-time and full-time staff and faculty at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, University of Flint, and the UM Health System with a 50% appointment or higher).
- Award amount: 50% tuition scholarship is restricted to the legal dependents of UM-Dearborn faculty and staff and the 20% tuition scholarship is restricted to the legal dependents of UM-Ann Arbor, UM-Flint, and the UM Health System.
- Deadline: The scholarship is limited to first time undergraduate study.

The University of Michigan-Dearborn is providing a tuition-free path to Detroit Promise transfer students who meet the following requirements:
Complete an associate degree
Have a GPA of 2.75 or higher
Meet UM-Dearborn admission requirements
Awarded by the Detroit Chamber of Commerce
Access the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce website for the application and additional information about the Detroit Promise Transfer Award.
Complete the annual Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for all available funding.
- Basic eligibility:
- A completed associate degree
- Ability to meet standard requirements for admission
- Proof of participation in Futures for Frontliners or Michigan Reconnect programs
- Michigan residency as defined by University of Michigan
- FAFSA submission
- No student loans in default*
- Ability to obtain final transcripts from all previously-attended colleges/universities*
- Award amount: Depending on eligibility 30-60% of your tuition is funded by scholarships and grants.

- Basic eligibility: Degree seeking students for employees of Michigan Nonprofit Association (MNA) member organizations and can be used for undergraduate and graduate programs.
- Award amount: 20% of tuition and fees

- Basic eligibility: Students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK). Your most recent school must be a community college. This scholarship will be awarded with other UM-Dearborn transfer scholarships.
- Award amount: Up to $1,000 annually, renewable for up to three years.
- Deadline: Send proof of membership to Admissions by the end of the add/drop period in the student's first semester of enrollment.
- Other information: Must maintain a 3.0 GPA for annual renewal.
- Basic eligibility: An eligible student must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Transfer students must have a recalculated GPA of 3.0.
- Award amount: This scholarship covers the difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition. (excludes course premiums)
- Deadline: Awards are offered during the admissions process.
