Redesigned for Fall 2025
Lead with Strategy. Optimize with Systems Thinking.
Earn a dual degree that combines a future-ready MBA with advanced expertise in industrial and systems engineering. The University of Michigan-Dearborn’s MBA/MSE in Industrial and Systems Engineering prepares you to lead strategically while improving the performance of complex systems involving people, data, and technology.
You’ll build a strategic mindset through core MBA courses in Business Analytics, AI for Business, Stakeholder-Centric Management, Global Business, and Decision-Making, laying the foundation for business electives in key functional areas. At the same time, the MSE-ISE curriculum equips you to analyze and optimize large-scale systems, enhancing performance across sectors like manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare. You’ll gain the skills to drive efficiency, systems thinking, and smart design in diverse operational environments.
With flexible options for fully online, evening, or hybrid study, you can complete the program on a schedule that works for you. Most students attend part time and can complete the program in three years--or less if you qualify to waive MBA foundation courses.
Want to jump start your degrees? If you’re a current UM-Dearborn undergraduate student and you’ve been admitted to the master’s program, you can take up to six graduate credits during your final undergraduate semester.
