Transfer Student Tuition & Aid
UM-Dearborn makes a world-class Michigan education accessible. We’re one of the most affordable universities in the state, and we are focused on helping you launch your career with confidence — and little to no debt.
Cost of Attendance at UM-Dearborn
The cost of attendance (COA) is the estimated amount to attend UM-Dearborn for one academic year before financial aid is applied. It includes both:
- Direct costs - Expenses billed by the university, such as tuition and required fees.
- Indirect costs - Estimated expenses paid by the student, including housing, food, books, supplies, transportation, and personal expenses.
Your actual costs will vary based on factors such as your residency, enrollment status, housing choice, and academic program.
View the current Cost of Attendance estimates for detailed tuition, fees, and estimated expenses by student type.
Most students don't pay the full published cost of attendance. Grants and scholarships significantly reduce the amount many students pay.
