The Office of Alumni Engagement works in partnership with the Alumni Society Board and our Alumni Affiliates to support alumni involvement and success, and to provide opportunities for members of the UM-Dearborn community to connect.

The African American Alumni Affiliate engages African American alumni to help UM-Dearborn facilitate the recruitment, development (academic, cultural and personal), retention and graduation of African American students. The Affiliate supports the following activities each year:
- Black Celebratory, Annual celebration of recent African American graduates, reflecting on personal contributions to the community
- Souls of Success Retreat Alumni Panel, Annual retreat designed by the African and African American Studies program, providing personal and professional development to African American students.
- Opportunity Scholar Interviews, In conjunction with the Office of Admissions, alumni mingle with students, and parents of students, seeking an increased Opportunity Scholarship award.
The Graduates of the Last Decade Alumni Affiliate (GOLD) provides recent graduates with opportunities to network with fellow UM-Dearborn grads and to stay connected with the UM-Dearborn community. GOLD also introduces current students to recent alumni and alumni activities. Providing an opportunity for those who graduated in the last ten years to stay involved:

- With Incoming and Current Students
