More than five decades after graduating, members of the University of Michigan-Dearborn Business Administration Class of October 1970 continue to make their college friendships a priority.
Eleven members of the class gathered Sept. 18 at Weber’s Inn in Ann Arbor to celebrate their 56th reunion. The original class included 16 graduates from what was then known as the Division of Business Administration.
The evening included dinner, conversation and a look back at their time as students. A collection of photographs highlighted memories from 1968 to 1970, including dinner dances, Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity meetings, campus activities, the 1970 Rose Bowl trip and graduation ceremonies held at Ford Motor Company World Headquarters.
“A good time was had by all who attended the 56-year reunion as friendships were renewed and fond memories of college days were shared well into the evening,” said alumnus Bob Rosiek.
Those friendships have endured for more than half a century. Members of the Class of 1970 have remained connected over the years, gathering for reunions every five years since graduation.
