Life at COB

Education doesn't only happen in a classroom.

At the College of Business, students learn about business by engaging in professional activities outside the classroom. Our students develop their skills by joining industry-specific clubs and organizations. They gain hands-on experience through internships and other resources, like iLabs and the BELL. And they network with corporate leaders in the career coaching program and at signature events like the Executive Speaker Series. We also provide the support and services to help our students succeed, whether it's launching a career or finding extra help in a course.

Campus Life

Hallway with flags of nations from around the world displayed.

Students arrive from more than 19 countries and 18 states, bringing a variety of different educational, professional, and social backgrounds. Our students benefit from this diversity because it encourages a wide range of perspectives and solutions to real-world problems.

The College of Business continues to build partnerships with universities around the globe, including China, Italy, India and Taiwan, to help prepare students for success in today’s global economy.

Get Involved

Our campus is home to more than 130 student organizations, many of which provide business students with opportunities to network and advance their careers. Their efforts outside the classroom have earned UM-Dearborn student organizations multiple honors in national competitions. Eight of these organization are housed in the College of Business.
