The Provost’s Faculty Book Showcase

The Office of the Provost is excited to announce the launch of The Provost’s Faculty Book Showcase, a celebration and recognition of the achievements of our faculty who publish professional books.  The Showcase will feature faculty from a range of disciplines, celebrating their advancements in knowledge, research, and creative activity.  The goal of the Showcase is to expose the university community to the breadth of faculty research and increase student awareness of the importance of these endeavors.

Types of work eligible for submission:

  • Scholarly books, edited essay collections, and creative works must be authored by UM-Dearborn faculty (tenured/tenure-track, LEO lecturers) with a current appointment at the time of selection.
  • Nominated books must have been published by an academic, university, or commercial press in the preceding academic year.
  • Bibliographies, editions, textbooks, and reference tools are not eligible.
  • UM-Dearborn students, postdocs, and visitors are not eligible.

Showcase books will be made available for display.  Books not currently available in the library will be ordered and added to the Mardigian collection. Faculty are encouraged to donate copies to the Library.

The Showcase will be held during the fall and winter semesters pending the amount of book submissions.
