The Upward Bound Math and Science (UBMS) program serves up to 60 students.
The Upward Bound Math and Science (UBMS) program serves students in grades 9 through 11 who attend Robichaud High School. Eligible students include those from low-income backgrounds, those who may be the first in their family to attend college, and students who demonstrate academic potential.
Priority is given to students who are interested in pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM).
Students receive intensive instruction in:
- Mathematics and science, including hands-on projects
- Computer applications
- Exposure to real-world STEM careers through field trips and guest speakers
In addition to developing college preparation skills, participants gain early experience in their areas of career interest.
Students who actively participate in the Upward Bound Math and Science (UBMS) program may also receive a monthly stipend.
