How to Apply Guidelines

Signing Up for a New Account & Creating a Password

  1. Go to the Admissions Navigator
    Click the Sign Up button.
  2. Enter Your Information
    Provide your preferred first name, last name, and email address. Then, select the “I’m not a robot” checkbox and click Submit.
  3. Check Your Email
    You will receive an email with the subject line “UM-Dearborn’s Online Application Username and Password Setup.” Open the email and click the link to set your new password.
  4. Reset Your Password
    On the password reset page, click Reset Password.
  5. Create Your New Password
    Enter your new password (must include both letters and numbers) and confirm it by entering it again. Then, click Save.
  6. Login to the Application
    Once your password is saved, you will be automatically logged into the online application page.

How to Reset Your Password 

  1. Go to the Admissions Navigator
    Select Reset Password.
  2. Enter Your Email Address
    Enter the email address you used to create your online application account, then click Reset Password.
  3. Check Your Email
    You will receive an email titled “UM-Dearborn’s Online Application Username and Password Setup.” Open the email and click the link inside.
  4. Reset Your Password
    Click Reset Password on the webpage, then enter your new password twice. Make sure your password contains both letters and numbers.
  5. Save Your New Password
    Once saved, you’ll be automatically logged into the online application page.

Check Your Application Status

Need to Make a Change to Your Application?

If you’ve already submitted your application and need to make a change—such as updating your intended major or requesting to defer your application (deferrals are allowed for up to two semesters)—please complete the Admission Information Change Form (PDF) and email it to us at [email protected].

Please do not submit a new application for changes to an existing one.
