Halal Metropolis Exhibition
January 20 - April 3, 2020
Halal Metropolis is a traveling series of exhibitions by artist Osman Khan, photographer Razi Jafri ('05 BSE), and historian Sally Howell, that explores the facts, fictions and imaginaries of the Muslim population(s) in Detroit and Southeast Michigan as viewed through historical/archival research, documentation of current conditions, and explorations of future desires. The UM-Dearborn installation in the Stamelos Gallery Center will highlight the role that food, fashion, and holiday celebrations have played in augmenting Muslim visibility in the region.
The Holocaust Unfolds Exhibit

On loan from the Detroit Jewish News Foundation, The Holocaust Unfolds exhibit showcases the coverage of WWII by the Detroit Jewish News, and its predecessor, the Detroit Jewish Chronicle. Topics include Nazi atrocities, the role of Detroit in the war, resistance, and life after the war.

Keeping Talent in Michigan will feature a lively panel discussion among talent experts on preparing Michigan's future workforce.
