Logging Into CIM
If you are denied access when attempting to login using the links below, it is likely because you have not gone through formal training and have not been added to the system. If you need access, please contact [email protected].
NOTE: The course/program proposal forms do not save automatically. You must save them to prevent losing information (and can continue working or return to them later). If you lose internet access (computer shutting down/going to sleep/shutting a laptop), you will lose any unsaved work and will receive a general error message when attempting to save later.

Once a proposal is submitted through the CIM system, the workflow steps that item will take will be outlined on the upper right side of the submission. Only Approver roles will show up in the workflow - not FYI roles (such as committees).
Contact hours are the amount of hours that the professor will hold class with students. This field is required and needs to be populated with a number (not N/A).

No. Cross-listed courses share the same course form, so once the change is made, it applies to all courses. The Department Chair of the cross-listed course will receive an email notifying them of the change.
Equivalent courses, including those at different levels (e.g. SOC 300 & SOC 500), will need to have changes made in both course forms.
You can use the Propose New from Existing feature for your new course when the existing course is at any point in editing or workflow.
Please email all changes to Angie Hernandez ([email protected])
No, please continue to use the PDF forms found on the DDC Application page to submit a course for consideration.
The software has an option in the left hand corner to Export to PDF, but unfortunately only exports in black in white. If you right click on the page (or double-finger click for Mac users) and Print to a PDF, this will allow you to save it as a document with color.
Since Committee Members are not listed as 'Approvers' (they only have viewing access) -- there is not a role that populates in the drop down menu, so you will have to choose the Department Chair or Associate Dean role to view the proposal from this page. Otherwise, you should be able to view the proposal when you click on the link that is emailed to you when the proposal reaches your stage in the workflow.
To edit a prerequisite, a minimum grade needs to be given (Banner requires it). If you do not include a grade, your proposal will be rolled back to you.
For permission restrictions (e.g. "permission of instructor" or "permission of department") do not need to be added to CIM. Those restrictions should be requested during the schedule drafting process.
