Personal Enrichment
Looking to broaden your knowledge or learn a new skill? Personal Enrichment is an admission status that allows you to enroll in undergraduate courses for personal or professional development.
Program Overview & Policies
- There is no limit on the number of semesters, but the total number of credit hours for all semesters enrolled may not exceed 15.
- All courses taken under Personal Enrichment status are considered part of your undergraduate record.
Admissions Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Not currently enrolled in a degree program at any institution
- Completed prerequisites for the class(es) you wish to take
How to Apply as a Personal Enrichment Student
- Complete the Online Non-Degree Application – Select “Personal Enrichment.”
- Provide an official transcript showing that a degree was awarded.
Deadline: Applications will be accepted until midnight the day before classes begin each semester.

Cost and Financial Considerations
A Personal Enrichment student will have fees assessed and adjusted by regulations identical to those governing regular matriculated students. View UM-Dearborn Tuition Information.
Personal enrichment students are not considered degree-seeking students at UM-Dearborn and are not eligible to receive financial aid.
