Interim Campus Access

The University of Michigan-Dearborn is dedicated to the health and safety of our campus community. During this interim time, faculty, staff, and students may use the Building Screening Entrance during Screening Times.  Building access needs outside of the screening times must be requested through the MCard Access Process.

MCard Access Process:

The following process is for campus Mcard Access for faculty, staff, and students outside of screening times. Non-emergency requests for campus access must be approved by the Department and placed with Facilities Operations at least three (3) business days in advance.

  1. Complete the COVID-19: Working Safely at UM Training (State of Michigan Executive Order 2020-114).

  2. Submit the request to your Department Access Coordinator (DAC).  The Department Level Access Request Form can be used for this, but is not required.

  3. If your Department approves, they will forward the request to Facilities Operations.

  4. You will be notified if the request is approved and processed by Facilities Operations, or not. Do not come to campus outside of screening times until you have this approval.  All on campus requirements, posted signage, and departmental procedures must be followed.

  5. Before coming to campus, review Campus Health and Safety Measures and On Campus Requirements for Mcard Users.
