UM-Dearborn Dual Enrollment Student Checklist
Here are a few next steps to take before you can register for your first class.
Submit Your Verification of Understanding Form
Review the information on this page thoroughly and submit the verification of understanding form. Upon submitting this form, you will be able to register for classes. (There will be a hold on your account until this form is complete.)
Activate Your Email Account
When you were admitted, you should have received an email with your eight-digit UMID number and instructions for setting up your uniqname (Wolverine ID) and umich.edu email account. If you still need to set this up, you may do so at the IT website.
You will need to complete your two-factor authentication to sign into services such as UM-Connect, Canvas and University email.
Obtain Your MCard (Student ID)
For students taking in-person classes, follow the required safety protocols to receive a photo identification at MCard Information.
Complete Math Placement Exams (if applicable)
Some courses may require an ALEKS Math placement exam. Email [email protected] for access. Get additional information on the math placement exam website.
View Your Bill and Financial Information
- Be aware of the tuition deadline.
- Find information on viewing and paying your bill.
- The Student Accounts Office offers a payment plan, if needed.
The UM-Dearborn offers a 50% tuition and fees scholarship for all Dual Enrollment students for the first eight credits per term. Students may be eligible for additional tuition assistance from their high school or the state of Michigan.
Register for Classes
You can register for courses online through your My UM-Dearborn Student Portal.
