Group Visits

Explore our welcoming campus, connect with current Wolverines, and discover how we’re helping students build their futures. Whether you’re visiting from a high school, community organization, or other educational program, we offer a personalized group tour experience to fit your interests.
During your visit, participants will:
- Learn about UM-Dearborn’s academic programs and student life
- Explore campus with a current student guide
- Hear from admissions about applying, scholarships, and support resources
Group visits are available for:
- High school and middle school groups (Grades 6–12)
- Community-based youth organizations
- Adult learning and community groups
- Community colleges
What’s Included
All group visits include:
- Welcome session and admissions overview with an Admissions representative
- Student-led walking tour (45–60 minutes)
Optional Add-Ons:
Enhance your visit with additional experiences designed to help your group dive deeper into campus life and academic exploration. Optional activities may include:
- Lunch on campus
- Department or college specific presentation
- Meet a faculty member and visit a classroom
- Student Panel
- Other interactive activities
We’ll make every effort to customize your visit based on your group’s size, age range, and interests; however, optional activities are subject to the availability of campus faculty, staff, and resources.
How to Schedule a Visit
Complete the Group Visit Request Form at least two weeks before your preferred date.
Once your form is submitted, a UM-Dearborn staff member will review your request and contact you to confirm details, discuss visit options, and finalize your schedule.
Frequently Asked Questions
There is no group size limit.
Most activities are free. However, optional meal add-ons may incur a cost.
We typically ask groups to visit on weekdays, as staffing and building closures prevent optimal weekend visits.
Tours proceed rain or shine with adjusted routes as needed.
No, we are not able to provide transportation.
We ask that groups plan on 1.5 - 2 hours per visit for the included activities. If any optional add-on activities are chosen, timing will increase.
Yes, our in-house food and beverage team offers a variety of choices for people with dietary restrictions (halal, vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free, etc.). We can usually work with groups on most dietary restrictions.
