We appreciate the vital role community college advisors play in helping students consider their options for continuing their education. This website provides information regarding admission to the University of Michigan-Dearborn, and resources to help you guide your students toward their future.

Your students will be able to thrive in our inclusive campus community. We keep classes small so professors will know your students by name. And, students can gain valuable experience beyond the classroom in research projects, co-ops, and internships. With 150 student organizations, athletics, and numerous events around campus, your students will be able to gain the momentum for a great future.

Community College Counselor Luncheon

Join us for a special event to recognize and celebrate the dedication of community college counselors who play a pivotal role in supporting their students' academic and personal growth. This luncheon will offer an opportunity to connect with fellow counselors, hear updates and important information about UM-Dearborn, and learn more about our admissions process. It’s a time to mingle with UM-Dearborn staff, share insights, and strengthen our partnership in guiding the next generation of college-bound students.

Transfer Hub

The "Transfer Hub" page provides valuable resources and support for transfer students. It includes information on how to navigate the transfer process, with specific guidance on academic resources, transfer pathways, and support services specific to each community college in Michigan. 

Each community college page offers links to tools for course transfer evaluations, financial aid resources, and general steps to apply as a transfer student. The content aims to help ease the transition from a specific community college by connecting students with the right resources and personnel.

Additional Earned College Credit Options

UM-Dearborn awards college credit for the specific tests (such as AP and IB) based on certain scores earned. Please review this website for additional information and charts to determine additional credit earning opportunities.

Prospective Student Events
