Virtual Transfer Information Session & College Exploration
Thinking about transferring to UM-Dearborn? Join us for an interactive virtual event designed specifically for prospective transfer students. Learn about the transfer admissions process, financial aid, and next steps before connecting with representatives from your academic college during dedicated breakout sessions. Discover academic programs, student experiences, hands-on learning opportunities, and get your questions answered by the people who know your major best.
This information session is designed for students who have not yet been admitted to the University of Michigan-Dearborn. If you are already an admitted Transfer Student, please visit our Admitted Student website for more information related to your next steps and Orientation.
Virtual Transfer Information Group Sessions
Join other prospective students to learn what the University of Michigan-Dearborn has to offer. There will be an informational presentation about programs, admission, and scholarships, as well as a question & answer session.
This information session is designed for students who have not yet been admitted to the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Virtual Advising for Prospective Students
Talk one-on-one with an Admissions Transfer Specialist. Have your transcripts evaluated, create transfer plans, learn about the admissions process, and ask questions about UM-Dearborn! If you are an admitted student who wants to discuss registration, please visit the Admitted Transfer Students webpage.

Scheduled Appointments
Talk one-on-one with an Admissions Transfer Specialist during a 30-minute scheduled appointment.
- Go to the Admissions Navigator
Click the Sign Up button. - Enter Your Information
Provide your preferred first name, last name, and email address. Then, select the “I’m not a robot” checkbox and click Submit. - Check Your Email
You will receive an email with the subject line “UM-Dearborn’s Online Application Username and Password Setup.” Open the email and click the link to set your new password. - Reset Your Password
On the password reset page, click Reset Password. - Create Your New Password
Enter your new password (must include both letters and numbers) and confirm it by entering it again. Then, click Save. - Log In to the Admissions Navigator
Once your password is saved, you will be automatically logged in.
- Go to the Admissions Navigator
Click the Sign In button. - Enter Your Information
Enter the email address and password you used to sign up for your account (instructions listed above), then click Submit. - Locate the “Meet with an Undergraduate Admissions Counselor” Section
Select the option that applies to your student type and academic college. - Answer Prompts on the Appointment Scheduler
Complete the prompts that ask for your Program, Purpose of Meeting, and preferred Appointment Mode (In-Person or Virtual). - Select an Available Appointment Time
Based on availability displayed on the calendar, select the time that works best for you, and confirm the appointment. - Check Your Email for Confirmation
An confirmation email with appointment details will be sent to the email used to login.

You can visit a transfer specialist in person at the following community colleges this summer. Please check back in early fall for additional visit locations.
