Campus Involvement Hub

The Campus Involvement Hub (CIH) creates an inclusive and accessible environment that provides meaningful and diverse learning and involvement opportunities to impact student success. Students will gain a sense of self and strong leadership skills, while becoming responsible and engaged citizens in their community.

In addition to providing a vast array of resources to all of the University of Michigan-Dearborn’s 100+ student organizations, the CIH is a focal point for students wishing to become involved and is staffed by a team of student leaders who are extensively trained in connecting students to involvement opportunities and providing student organization consultation services.

Located in the University Center, Room 1290, the Campus involvement Hub is open five days per week with late night hours convenient for student organizations and students.

The Campus Involvement Hub will be available in-person and virtually for the Fall 2021 semester to students interested in getting connected to involvement opportunities and student organization resources.

If you are looking to get involved and do not know where to start, we can help you!

Involvement Consultations are one-on-one meetings between you and a Campus Involvement Consultant (CIC) to help you find opportunities to get involved on campus like student organizations, volunteering, and more! These are a great option for first year students, students who have transferred to UM-Dearborn, or any student who is looking to get more engaged in the campus community.

Please schedule an appointment with one of our CICs using our calendar. You can pick a 15 minute time block during the hours where a CIC is available to help you. Please do not pick a time block within the next 48 hours, as our CICs do need time to prepare for your meeting with the information from the Involvement Consultation Survey (hyperlinked). Please fill out this survey when you schedule an appointment to help us find tailored opportunities for you.

The Campus Involvement Hub Staff are a team of dedicated and diverse trained paraprofessionals who oversee the Office Management and Student Organization Consultant functional areas within the Office of Student Life (OSL). Their primary responsibility is to assist current and incoming students in getting connected to involvement opportunities that best match their interests and goals.  These student leaders are committed to serving as a resource for students that are looking for opportunities to get involved as well as supporting student organizations on campus.

The Campus Involvement Hub Staff offer one-on-one consultations to students looking to get involved in an organization, group consultations to students looking to start a new organization, and workshops for established organizations. The Campus Involvement Hub Staff manage outreach on behalf of the Office of Student Life, creating and sharing content on social media and assisting with marketing of programs and events.
