Important information for out-of-state online students

Colleges and universities are required to comply with the distance education laws of each state. If you’re an out-of-state student seeking to enroll in an online program or course, please visit the Office of Digital Education's Distance Education Student Information and Procedures page to check the university’s status with your state.

All applicants applying to a fully online program must complete a supplemental Online Student Disclosures and Certifications form that will appear in your UM-Dearborn applicant portal after application submission alongside your checklist. This covers important Distance Education Student Information and Procedures and Export Control Regulations our campus must follow.
