Our highly skilled faculty researchers and dedicated student research assistants conduct customized research, develop strategic goals, and identify opportunities that culminate in the creation of value for iLabs partners.

The eCities study focuses on entrepreneurship because of its importance to the expansion and diversification of Michigan’s regional economies and the impact small businesses have on job creation. To date, nearly 300 communities across Michigan have participated in the study. Contact us to participate in a future study.

iLabs conducts an annual online survey of seniors across UM-Dearborn's campus to maintain an understanding of students' professional and personal expectations following graduation and how those decisions impact Michigan. iLabs has shared key findings from this survey with State leaders. These findings have informed policy considerations regarding the factors that attract students to Michigan or lead them to seek other opportunities outside of the State.

iLabs conducts research studies that focus on the betterment of the University of Michigan-Dearborn. This research brings together teams of faculty and students to work on customized research solutions targeted at the specific needs of the campus. Recent projects include undergraduate and graduate exit surveys, focus groups with College of Business students, and interviews with employers.

Students present findings from the research studies to University administrators to continually look at how to better serve our stakeholders. As a result, changes have been made to course offerings, internship programs, and opportunities for involvement of students and community stakeholders.
