Academic Canvas Integrations
Canvas is able to integrate with many third party apps through the Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) Standard. UM-Dearborn has already configured many app integrations, as listed in the table below. Support for most third party apps is provided by the vendor, not directly from Instructure (Canvas) or the UM-Dearborn Canvas Support Staff.
Faculty interested in adding a new app to Canvas should contact the University Director of Digital Education, Christopher Casey ([email protected]). Installation requests should be made at least 60 days in advance for the processes in the Use and Procurement of Digital Education Platforms, Tools, or Other Technologies and/or Integrating External Apps with the Learning Management System Policy to be completed. The process may take longer than 60 days depending on the required items that need to be negotiated and signed between U-M and the vendor.
