Readmission Inquiries
If you were a registered student at UM-Dearborn at some prior point and would like to return, you need to be readmitted.
Students who have previously attended UM-Dearborn, but have not registered for classes in over one year, must apply for readmission. To do so, students need to submit the following items to the College of Business Student Services Office at the address below.
- Readmission Form
- Official transcripts from all academic institutions attended since leaving UM-Dearborn

Readmission criteria for students who have...
1. Not attended any other academic institution since leaving.
- UM-Dearborn minimum grade point average of 2.70
- 2.80 grade point average in all upper level College of Business courses taken at UM-Dearborn
2. Attended another academic institution since leaving.
- Combined 2.70 grade point average between UM-Dearborn and transferable courses completed at other colleges/universities since leaving.
- 2.80 grade point average in all upper level College of Business courses taken at UM-Dearborn
If you do not meet the grade point average requirements, you may apply for readmission by including a personal statement that addresses reasons for your past performance, factors affecting why you are better equipped to succeed at UM-Dearborn, and your academic plans for degree completion.
Application deadlines are:
- Fall semester: August 1
- Winter semester : December 1
- Summer semester: April 1
