Kris is responsible for the daily management of the James C. Renick University Center, Fairlane Center, and Union at Dearborn common spaces.  She is also responsible for supervising and managing almost 50 student employees who serve as Building Managers, Audio Visual Technicians, and UUE's Operations and Information Center teams.

Prior to serving as the Assistant Director of UUE, Kris was the Interim Director of the James C. Renick University Center, and the Director of Student Activities at UM-Dearborn since 2001.  Prior to that she worked at the MSU Union at Michigan State and the Idaho Commons & Student Union Building at the University of Idaho.  She earned her Masters degree in Higher Education Administration from Indiana University - Bloomington and her Bachelors degree from Northern Michigan University in Psychology and Biology.  She also serves on the Association of College Unions International (ACUI) Education Council.

Outside of work, Kris enjoys spending time with her family, traveling (she has slept in all 50 states and visited three continents), running, and exploring good food through cooking and visiting restaurants.

Nick manages the Events Office for University Unions which includes planning high profile events, directing the Events Staff and promoting our services to the campus & community in general. Nick has been working in the Events industry for over 15 years.  In his free time, he likes to bike, run and enjoy all things geeky.

Mandy Earl

Mandy is new to the University Union & Events teams and the University of Michigan-Dearborn as of March 2023.  She will assist students, faculty, staff and community members in planning events of all levels.  Mandy has over 14 years of higher education and event planning experience.  

Prior to coming to the university Mandy worked at Henry Ford College as the Student Activities Associate, at Northville Hills Golf Club as the Banquet Sales Director, and at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor as the Assistant Director of Intramurals and Club Sports.  

Outside of work, Mandy enjoys spending time with her husband and son, watching her son play sports and spending time at their cabin up north.

Meet Daniella, the Detroit dynamo whose journey is as vibrant as the city she calls home! Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in Afro-American and African Studies from the University of Michigan, Daniella blazed a trail in the realm of higher education and student development. 

From her early days as a Program Advisor igniting student life in the Center for Campus Involvement to her role as the Events & Outreach Coordinator championing cultural experiences in the Center for Global & Intercultural Study, Daniella's passion for empowering students has always shone bright. 

Before landing at UUE, Daniella embarked on a whirlwind adventure, serving as the mastermind behind Special Projects & Partnerships for Detroit City Councilman President Pro Tem James Tate, Jr. and guiding students through the exciting transition to college at Detroit School of Arts. 

When she's not busy making waves in education or forging partnerships for progress, you'll find Daniella exploring new horizons through travel, getting lost in the pages of a captivating book, or cherishing moments with her loved ones. With Daniella, every chapter is an adventure waiting to unfold!
