Advisory Boards
Our professional visiting committees and advisory boards provide industry recommendations to bridge teaching to the needs of business and industry.
CECS leadership meets regularly with members of our advisory groups, which are comprised of alumni, engineering professionals, and business leaders.
Alumni Affiliate Board
The Alumni Affiliate Board is comprised of CECS alumni who are professionals at all corporate levels in many diverse technical fields. The Affiliate provides valuable resources to the university, alumni, CECS students, both present and future.
Industrial Advisory Board
The CECS Industrial Advisory Board, comprised of corporate leaders, meets annually with the dean to discuss broad strategic issues facing the College of Engineering and Computer Science, its programs, and its resources. The Board provides advice on global trends in engineering and computer science by drawing upon perspectives, knowledge, and extensive experiences from working in industry, academia and political circles.
Visiting Committee
The CECS Visiting Committee, comprised of presidents and vice presidents from regional industries, meets with the dean annually for the purpose of tactical planning. This group draws upon their wealth of experience as industrial leaders to inform the College about the immediate and near future needs for their companies and, therefore, the region. Visiting Committee members are asked to assist us with programming and curricular matters so that we are producing engineers and computer scientists that can meet the needs of the region upon graduation.
