Scheduling Final Exams
Guidance on Scheduling of Final Exams in Winter 2023
- The study day is:
- Wednesday, April 19
- No final exams can be administered or due on that day.
- Exams will be held:
- Thursday, April 20 - Friday, April 21 and Monday, April 24 - Wednesday, April 26
- All in-person or hybrid courses have been given a three-hour time block on one of the exam days for in-person exams.
- For online courses scheduled as ONLN (asynchronous), final exams are not scheduled for in-person delivery or provided a three-hour time block.
- Faculty must give students at least a 24-hour window for taking a final exam for courses scheduled with the ONLN modality.
- Online exam proctoring is prohibited.
- For online courses scheduled as ONREG (synchronous), final exams are not scheduled for in-person delivery or provided a three-hour time block.
- Faculty must assign a window for students to take a final exam that is at least 6 hours.
- Online exam proctoring is prohibited.
- Faculty do not have to use the entire exam block time but must schedule their exam within the assigned block.
- Faculty should refer to the Final Exams and Study Days policy if they need to adjust a final exam date or time.
- Grades are due:
- By 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 28, 2023

- The study days are:
- Saturday-Sunday, December 10-11
- No final exams can be administered or due on these days.
- Exams will be held:
- Monday-Friday, December 12-16
- All in-person or hybrid courses have been given a three-hour time block on one of the exam days for in-person exams.
- For online courses scheduled as ONLN (asynchronous), final exams are not scheduled for in-person delivery or provided a three-hour time block.
