CASL Internship Scholarships

The CASL Internship Scholarship provides support based on financial need to CASL undergraduate students who plan to participate in the HUM/HIST/ESCI/ENST Internship courses for the Summer 2025.

Amount: $400-900. Number of awards:  1-2.  The decision will be based primarily on financial need.  Open:  1/17/25 Closed:  2/15/25

This scholarship provides support based on financial need to undergraduate students in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters (CASL) who plan to participate in the Psychology Internship program (Psychology 485).

Summer 2025,  Open:  12/20/24 Closed:  3/17/25. Amount: $500-700,  Number of awards:  1-3.  The decision will be based primarily on financial need

Step One:   Read Internship Program Details, then complete Internship Application

Step Two:   Complete Scholarship Application

Step Three:  Meet with Internship Coordinator.  You will be contacted when you complete both applications.

Step Four:  Meet with Dr. Loeb regarding placement for the Summer semester.

Important:

·         Class meetings are Mondays and Wednesdays from 12-1:45 in May and June (Summer I session).

·         Academic assignments on the course syllabus and class attendance are mandatory.  The course is graded, for 4 or 6 credits.

·         Students go to their internship site  80 or 160  hours over the course of the semester (4 or 6 credits).  Students who are placed early are permitted to begin summer internship placement in March or April if they wish.

·         Internship placement can’t be guaranteed.

Political Science Alumni William Liebold and his wife Cam have generously funded the William Liebold II Political Affairs Internship Scholarship for students interested in working in Politics and Policy internships. 

This scholarship provides support based on financial need to undergraduate students in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters (CASL) who plan to participate in the Politics, Policy and Law internship program (POL 495) starting in the summer 2025 semester. 

Preference will be given to those students with internships at state and local offices of members of Congress, House and Senate; and firms or nonprofit organizations rooted in policy-making. Law firms and court internships could be considered. 

Step One: Read program details and fill out the CASL Internship application if you have not done so already. 

Step Two: Submit a scholarship application. 

Step Three: Meet with the Internship Coordinator. You will be contacted after both applications have been submitted. 

Academic Internship Tuition Scholarship

This scholarship is intended to support those internship students from all across campus whose internships are non-paid and yield university credit.

Dr. Ned Fawaz Internship 

This scholarship is for students who complete courses or internships offered by the Center for Arab American Studies, including the internship course.

Helen Mataya Graves Political Science Internship Scholarship

This scholarship is for any Politics, Policy and Law Intern.

This fellowship is designed to reward students who have demonstrated excellence in studies or experiences regarding natural history and environmental interpretation. The fellowship should recognize outstanding achievement for a student who has taken coursework in classes like Field Biology, Environmental Interpretation, Environmental Education, etc., or someone who has distinguished himself/herself leading environmental education programs, such as the ones offered at the EIC, science/nature centers, Friends of the Rouge, or other non-profit environmental organizations.

This scholarship is for students majoring in Anthropology and wish to participate in an internship course. Get started by filling out the CASL Internship Application.

This scholarship is for students working with the Environmental Interpretive Center. Students may participate in the Environmental Studies internship course. 

This scholarship is for the Humanities/History Interns who are placed in Dearborn-based nonprofit organizations and participate in the HUM 485 internship course. 

This scholarship is for students taking International Studies internships. Course credit could include multiple internship courses. Get started by filling out the CASL Internship Application.

This scholarship is for students working in the Environmental Interpretive Center. Students may participate in the Environmental Studies internship course. 

This scholarship is managed and awarded out of the Art History discipline and can be used for internships and/or student field trips. Get started by filling out the CASL Internship Application.

Awarded by Study Abroad, this internship is for students participating in the Ottawa Internship. 

This scholarship is for students who participate in the Ottawa Internship. 

This scholarship is for students who participate in the Ottawa Internship. 

Students receive scholarship funds for the DDC Study Abroad trip to Poland.
