Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, UM-Dearborn classes are being held remotely through the end of the semester, Summer I and Summer II. Most campus operations are being conducted remotely and buildings are closed. Before coming to campus please call ahead to determine how services are being delivered. Due to the current public health situation, CASL Advising is working remotely. All appointments will be conducted either virtually or by phone.

Students with quick questions or emergency concerns can email their advisor directly or casladvising@umich.edu. Due to the expected high volume of emails, it may take us longer to respond. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Office Hours 

Business hours are Monday-Friday, 8-5. Due to the current circumstances, CASL Advising is working remotely. Please send us your questions at casladvising@umich.edu. We will respond to you as quickly as we can.

Remote Appointments

As of March 16, CASL Advising is conducting all appointments remotely. There are two options: students and advisors can meet virtually, which can include video and screen sharing, or over the phone. All remote appointments will be conducted via Google Hangouts Meet. Appointments are available between 8-5 Monday through Friday, as well as a 5:00 and 5:30 option on Wednesdays. 

Scheduling an Appointment

Please email us at casladvising@umich.edu to schedule an appointment. Please provide the following information:

  1. Your name
  2. UMID​​​​​​
  3. Your umich email
  4. The reason for the appointment
  5. Preference for virtual or phone appointment

Instructions for how to conduct a virtual or phone appointment will be emailed to you when you make the appointment.

Remote Drop-in Advising

CASL Advising will be doing remote drop-in hours via Google Hangouts Meet. Sign-in will be during specific times. When you submit the sign-in form, you'll be contacted to confirm that you are in the queue and given instructions on how to proceed. In order to be seen, you will need to be in the Hangout meeting, waiting either on your computer or on the phone.
