Lab Safety
Research units are expected to adhere to safety standards established to address research risks. Chemical risks in one form or another are present in most research laboratories on the UM-Dearborn campus. The ubiquitous safety challenge is met with performance standards for safety management, and this affects all levels of academic leadership and operations. EHS provides consultation to units on efficient ways to maintain safe workplaces and methods, and reduce injury risks.
