Armenian Research Center Completes a Major Community Study in the metro-Detroit Area

March 3, 2025

The Armenian Research Center, in collaboration with St. John Armenian Apostolic Church, has completed the "St. John Armenian Apostolic Church Community Study."

The study examined parishioners’ experiences with church services and identified areas for improvement. Combining quantitative and qualitative methods in two phases—a survey from September to October 2023 and four focus groups in February and March—the study highlighted the matufaceted nature of the Church as an institution, which encompasses religious/spiritual, ethnic/cultural, social/communal, emotional/personal and organizational/administrative dimensions.

The key findings of the study were presented to the St. John's Parish Assembly on March 2, 2025.

This partnership underscores the Armenian Research Center's commitment to strengthening local communities in the metro-Detroit area.
